With our feet dangling over the Side,
...And...
Marveled that We had found each other."

Forsythe Park... Savannah, Georgia

In 1943, (62 yrs ago ) in Savannah, Georgia
Robbie Adcox  met a tall, dark, blue-eyed
and handsome stranger
 ( Marvin Horton, Jr.)

In this Historical Park, ( Forsythe Park)
of Savannah, Ga.
Marvin (age 18) and Robbie (age 24)
Spent all their free-time , there
Professing their Love to One-Another.
It was in this Park,
Plans for their Future
Marriage and their Lives together
Were Made.

note; Above photo is The Beautiful Fountain , that stands
in the center of Forsythe Park.

****
Marvin entered the cafe, one evening
to cash his weekly check,
and met a waitress (Robbie)...
And soooooooooo
This began the Dream......

Below is a Poem, written by My Mother (Robbie).
This poem, ' Hand-In-Hand'
Best explains the History of My parents
Romance, and Her out-look
and emotions of She & My Father....
Their Marriage, and their Life they have Created Together.

HAND-IN-HAND

Hand in Hand we've walked together,
Down this road of Life.
The Love that lives deep within
Does overcome all strife.
***
We've had many happy days,
We've had our bad ones, too.
Raising our little children
And sending them off to school.
***
Soon, They will all be gone
And, We'll be left alone.
They will finf Happiness,
As they build their new homes.
***
It takes me back, to days gone by,
While working in a Cafe'
You came in to cash your check
And Stole My Heart Away!
***
Each night, Hand in Hand,
As we walked thru the park.
We made plans for the Future
Alone there in the dark.
***
We are growing older now
And, Someday we must say 'Good-Bye'
If I go first, I'll be waiting
For you up there, In the sky.
***
Again, We can walk, Hand in Hand
Up there in God's Park,
And, We will be so happy
For there, We'll Never Part.
***

There was not time to do it all
And although the number of pages is small
I promise that soon they'll all be done
Bit by bit, and one by one.
Your life's story will all be told
Within the pages this website hold
And when it's finished ,each page you see
Will have been made, With Love from Me.
